Fabrications in schools

One of the most challenging things about having a 3D printer in a school is being able to manage a whole class collection of designs and printing them.  One printer is just not enough.

When I have assigned a project to kids in the past that involved Tinkercad, it was always a nightmare to print all of the projects.  30 per class multiplied by 8 was too crazy. Each print would take at least 1.5 hrs to print.  That made it impossible to complete a whole class.    I ended up having to print from home.

The takeaway from this post is that you either need to NOT print projects on masse or get more printers.
